Solar Skylight

Solar skylight systems are designed to add the ambience of lighting to any area of your home. Solar skylights convert the suns energy to light and auto-adjust brightness levels to match external conditions. This creates a harmony in your home between indoor and outdoor lighting.

A solar skylight works with a solar panel on the roof connected to a controller that is linked to a LED panel via an electrical wire.

Appearance: The LED panel of a solar skylight is only 10mm thick and is flush with the plasterboard once installed. It is not impeded by roof joists so can be located anywhere.

Efficiency: Solar Skylights have no light tube from the roof through to the ceiling. They don’t transfer external heat in summer or lose internal heat in winter. A wire runs from the solar panel ,at the optimum position on the roof to any location within the house to the LED panel.

Multi-storey homes: We can install a solar skylight in multi-storey homes to the lower areas. On assessment, in most cases, installation can be achieved.
Maintenance: Solar skylights are maintenance free as the LED panel is a sealed unit. Unlike conventional skylights, over time they dont collect dirt or insects. Installation requires no roof penetration therefore eliminates roof leaks.
240V back up: (optional) During the day, the LED panel will run off solar power and at night time it can be switched over to mains electricity. This can be done by using an existing light circuit, however this may require an electrician
