Hello Secret Harbour and Port Kennedy Parents and Athletes
Here is most of the information you will need for the upcoming Summer Little Athletics Season.
So far for Summer 2017/2018 we can tell you:
* Sign ups will be happening on Sat 2/9 online, ready for our first race night in October. Online rego details TBC and posted soon. For existing families this will be done through your resultshq login from last year.
* Registrations will close 2/10 or eariler if we reach capacity
* On registration you will need to upload proof of age (photo of passport, birth cert/extract) if you are a new athlete, existing athletes you have done this before
* Costs will be $150 for U6 and $190 for U7+ this covers the summer and winter season (no winter season for U6). The uniform cost varies between clubs, please see their page for this info. There is a once off family fundraising levy to cover our costs for wind ups and trophies which will be $25 for a family with one athlete plus $5 for each additional athlete.
* Under 10s and above need to purchase an additional Baldivis LAC Centre shirt for all interclub/state/relays/multi event competitions, these are $25 for singlets or $35 for shirts. On a friday night we represent SH or PK but at any out of Centre comps we represent Baldivis LAC.
* We have been forced to increase our fees this year due to a large increase in the portion of your fee that goes to WA Little Athletics (mostly insurance). We are also moving to new premises this year and taking on a Lease which has increased our running costs threefold. We are hoping to purchase some new equipment this year that we need, moving to these larger premises. Please support our canteen and sausage sizzle on a friday night as this is a big portion of our income. 100% of this money goes back into our Centre to provide an awesome sport for our kids.
*Parents who qualify for Kidsport vouchers need to have their code validated in person by their Local Council (e.g City of Rockingham) before registering. Also please be aware of how much they cover and your balance on these as we were left short last year by a few parents, the club had to cover these costs which was disappointing.
* We are located at the brand-spanking-new Baldivis South Sports Pavilion at Lot 798 Eighty Road Baldivis (not far from the Mother Theresa School)
* Training days will be:
Tuesdays 5-6;30pm - all age groups
Thursdays 5-6:30pm U10 and over ONLY
Parents need to stay. Dropping off is not an option, children without parents present will not be able to train. Please let me know if you would like to help out at training, WE NEED YOUR HELP!! We are run purely by volunteer parents who work as well, we rely on your help to help coach our Little Athletes. You don't need to know anything about athletics to be able to help out
