Saltwater Fly Workshop Australia

Scott Sparnon founded and established Saltwater Fly workshop in 1993. At age 15, Scotty picked up his first fly rod fishing alongside Jim Allen while fishing private dams for trophy Trout in Ballarat,Victoria. Scott then went on to tie Saltwater flies for Complete Fly Fisher in Melbourne owned by Jim at the time.

At age 17, Scotty was guiding out of the Kimberley, Western Australia. Owned and Operated by Scotty himself.

Two decades since, Scotty has impressive career fishing at National Tournament Level. A seasoned and well travelled angler, skilled fly tyer and respected in the Fishing Community.

These days’s, Scotty consults and ties commercially for the likes of Dean Butler, Rod Harrison, Peter Morse and many other enthusiastic anglers and fishing guides across the globe. Saltwater Fly Workshop specialise in Saltwater Fly patterns.

Scotty has teamed up with good mate Dean Butler to produce the ultimate Billfish Fly patterns designed for Australian/International Waters and already proven successful with many captures – “SparDean Billfish Tube Fly”

Recently, Scotty has been working closely with guide Brett Wolf who operates out of Exmouth,Western Australia as “Trueblue Bonefish” to produce the Ultimate Permit Crab Pattern, again proven highly successful in the there waters – “SparWolf Crab”.
