Roberto Fontana

Jazz Trumpet player born in the heart of Italy in 1987. He lived in Rome for many years where he graduated in Political Science and International Relations.

In Rome, while working at the Chamber of Deputies as a parliamentary assistant, he performed with various local groups, ranging from electronic, pop, latin and jazz.
His love for music and for mixing different musical cultures brought him to travel to Europe and participated in dozens of musical experiments and gigs.

Nowadays, he lives in Brisbane (Australia) where, since January 2017, he has played more than 70 gigs. Currently, his two main projects are a gypsy jazz trio called Gypsy Cats (www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLQQzs2cK0X4OtHqkcA_gnt_XYqV2bYS4) and an eclectic and original Jazz-Brazilian partnership with Eddie Gazani, one of the best Brazilian artists in Australia, a singer and an incredible guitar player.
