Reading Bees

At Reading Bees we provide a nurturing playful environment for children to develop the skills that will assist them with their transition into school.

We understand and value that the transition and adjustment to school is critical for a child's future progress and development. We provide a place where children are respected and feel comfortable to contribute and ‘have a go’.

At Reading Bees we focus on phonemic awareness, alphabet knowledge and basic mathematical concepts through play.

The most important skill we want the children to have when they leave Reading Bees is the love of learning.

The Reading Bees Early Years Program is for 35 weeks. Children attend 1 lesson per week.
We introduce the sounds and letters in an order that makes it easier for children to learn. Therefore it is beneficial for your child to commence the program at the beginning in February.

Primary Program and Tutoring

Primary Program
At Reading Bees we also have after school classes for children that need a little extra help learning to read and spell.

Primary Plus Program
We also have an after school class where the children continue to learn the skills and strategies for learning how to read and spell and more. Children learn and understand the process of spelling so they can use this knowledge to spell unfamiliar words.
