Prickly Pastry

Prickly Pastry is the illegitimate birth child of a dubiously green pastry chef from Sydney. After escaping the chaos of the city and settling in the Northern Illawarra, the chef scoured the land in search of innovative and exciting patisseries to call home. Then one clear winter’s night in 2014, a small oven hummed to life and glimmered over the rolling waves of the Pacific – Prickly Pastry was immaculately conceived.

Young Prickly Pastry has since been growing steadily and has really started to find its feet (and its heart!). In a nutshell, Prickly Pastry is creative, playful, delicious, ecologically responsible, beautiful and inclusive. Prickly believes that quality food should be shared and enjoyed by everyone. As such, Prickly Pastry has one of the most unique and accessible range of cakes and pastries, with plenty of interesting and delicious gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free options. Prickly thrives on the challenge of creating uncompromisingly delicious gluten-free products which can be enjoyed by all.

Prickly Pastry believes in using the best ingredients possible to create the best products. This not only refers to flavour and aesthetics, but is also determined by ecological sustainability and nutritional value. As a result, Prickly uses locally sourced wholefood ingredients wherever possible.
