The Post and Telegraph Bed and Breakfast was originally the Post Office built in Moruya in 1887. The building was built with local bricks with cast iron balustrade verandah which was very popular in the 1800s. People enjoyed the cool shade of the verandahs as the air inside the house became overheated. The addition of the business frontage was built in 1942 giving extra room in the residence section.
The Post office was relocated in the 1900s sold to a couple who restored the building in the vintage style of yesteryear as a bed and breakfast. It is a functioning bed and breakfast with the charm and ambiance of a bygone era, where guest can experience a little of history in Moruya.
