Pilotlight Productions

The objects of the Association are—
(1) Mission –
(a) Pilotlight Productions provides quality assessment-based training for all ages in all aspects of theatre, by offering learning through experience opportunities to develop skills and portfolios geared to furthering sustainable careers in the entertainment industry.
(b) Pilotlight Productions draws together a close-knit network of artists, performers, technicians and trainers to form a hub of theatre and the arts based in Childers.

(2) Vision –
Pilotlight Productions Inc. will be a hub for the creation of new work as well as classic theatre repertoire across a range of performance styles. The production team will mentor members of all ages in the skills necessary for all aspects of back stage and performance work.

(3) Objectives –
(a) Develop a strong and accountable production and training organisation that leaves a lasting legacy in the community
(b) Train a seasoned troupe of accomplished performers by guiding them through a course of workshops, rehearsals and the processes of staging a graded series of theatre events.
(c) Mount two major productions annually as contexts for community participation, enjoyment and learning
(d) Build a creative production team and resource them to facilitate learning in staging, lighting, sound, design, choreography, vocal production and acting
(e) Facilitate mentorship opportunities for youth, especially those who have the intention of making theatre their career
(f) Identify and engage with youth organisations, festivals and professional theatre venues to provide additional mentorship opportunities
(g) Access funding for the ongoing learning of the production team and association members and for the resources necessary to increase production values
(h) Continually improve the quality of performances
(i) Travel high quality performances to regional areas
(j) Establish Childers as a key creative hub in the Wide Bay Burnett Region
(k) Encourage promising playwrights to tailor scripts for the "Pilotlight Productions" team to produce
(l) Form a strong media profile in the region, in conjunction with a vigorously active social network presence, promoting performances and events associated with the group.
