Pat Wright Swim School

Welcome to Pat Wright Swim School. Pat Wright OAM and Lee Day have been teaching swimming for over 35 years and has a vast experience from Babies through to Adults.

Pat and Lee's qualifications are of high standards and this extends through to their teaching staff which are qualified swimming coaches or AUSTSWIM accreditation for Learn to Swim and in most cases holding both qualifications.

Pat Wright Swim School owned and operated by Pat Wright OAM originally started in 1968 at the Memorial Pool. In 2005 PWSS moved to the current location of 8 Lawson Street, Mackay. Pat, a National swimmer herself, has taught swimming and coached for the past fifty years. In that time she has coached several Olympic and National swimmers, Justin Lemberg, Nick Ffrost, Geoff Huegill, Jan Campbell, Linda MacKenzie and hundreds more. Pat is a life member of:

Pat was given an OAM for her contribution toward swimming in 1990 and is a Gold License Coach with ASCTA. Her assistant coach Lee Day is a Silver License Coach and several staff hold Junior Squad & Assistant Coaches licenses. Pat and Lee's staff hold or are working towards their AUSTWIM & Swim Teachers Australia Qualifications and all hold working with children Blue Cards.
