Old Bank Cygnet

Set on the main street of the picturesque township of Cygnet, you can't miss this landmark 1909 bank building.
Offering three light, stylish bedrooms, each equipped with AUSTAR TV, DVD player, and laptop with unlimited internet access, the Old Bank is just 45 minutes south of Hobart, Tasmania, in the beautiful Huon Valley.

A full English breakfast, including fresh eggs from our own happy hens and locally produced bacon, will be cooked for you every morning of your stay. Breakfast is served in the Orangery, our spectacular conservatory.

Friday and Saturday nights we recommend our guests stroll two doors up to dine at Country Style magazine's 2010 "Country Chef of the Year" Steve Cumper's restaurant, The Red Velvet Lounge. On weeknights, we offer in- house dining. We are licensed and have a range of local Tasmanian wines, beers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks.

The Old Bank provides guests with several spacious and comfortable living areas. The garden has ample seating by the fountain, the Orangery has a sofa and armchairs, and the Sitting Room has an open fireplace and a bay window overlooking the town square.

Check-in is from 3pm, with complimentary tea and coffee, and homemade baked goods served on your arrival.
