Ohana Family Services are now operating in Isabella Plains, ACT.
Operating 7 days a week from 9.30am to 5.30pm, we offer a Supervised Contact and Changeover Service which provides the following for families in Canberra and the surrounding region:
Supervised Contact Visits
Ohana has pleasant, child friendly premises where we can provide both the venue and experienced and skilled Contact Supervisors to oversee visits between children and their non-custodial parent.
All Ohana staff have extensive experience supervising contact visits and have a range of backgrounds and qualifications across a number of related fields – (early childhood, psychology, domestic violence and community welfare to name a few) as well as WWVP, Police and CYPS clearances. Ohana staff are skilled and experienced at providing the required level of supervision during visits while also ensuring that families feel comfortable and are able to enjoy precious time together.
Ohana is a safe, child focused environment and we have five visiting rooms as well as a fully equipped kitchen and indoor and outdoor dining and playing areas. We have age appropriate games, toys and activities for children from newborn to teens
We can accommodate one-off or regular contact visits from one hour up to all day.
Supervised Changeovers
Ohana offers a Supervised Changeover service where we facilitate the changeover of children between parents for visits, enabling the children to move between their parents without the parents having any direct contact with each other.
This eliminates the chance of the children being exposed to conflict during the changeover and alleviates stress for everyone involved. We use separate arrival and waiting areas, and different arrival times to ensure that the changeover happens smoothly and with the minimum of stress for the whole family.
