Music Matters

Music Matters broadcasts live on 94.1fm in Melbourne and rebroadcasts on numerous stations around Australia. Music Matters was first launched in 2012 by Wally de Backer as a segment on SBN's youth show Primary Perspectives and quickly went on to become its own independent show and then suite of shows. Music Matters is a highly entertaining arts/lifestyle youth program showcasing young local emerging artists to give them both media exposure and live performance experience, as well as featuring a variety of musical genres, celebrity artists and guest industry hosts speaking on a wide range of topics. Some featured guest ‘industry mentors’ includie Gotye, Musical Theatre Star Anne Wood, renowned Australian composer Dr Alan Zavod, 2 time Golden Guitar winners Jetty Road and Grammy nominated US composer and best selling author Jonathan Goldman.
