I have been working as a speech pathologist for over a decade and during this time I have had the joy of discovering my passions: working in early intervention (supporting speech & language development of preschool aged children) & maximising communicative effectiveness in adults & children with disabilities.

As a speech pathologist, I am passionate about educating family members, carers, teachers and other health professionals about early childhood speech and language development, acquired communication impairments, challenging behaviour and the role of communication, accommodations and movement differences in Autism and the use of restrictive practices (e.g. physical restraint, containment, seclusion).

I operate a private practice in Malvern and provide services on Tuesdays, Wednesday mornings, and on weekends.

I assess and provide therapy for a range of issues including:

- articulation errors (speech sound problems)
- difficulties with language comprehension (understanding)
- difficulties with language expression (speech content)
- difficulties with social interaction and behaviour
- pre-literacy concerns (e.g. letter-sound knowledge, rhyming, sound identification & manipulation)
- speech & language issues related to developmental disabilities
- speech & language issues related to acquired disabilities (e.g. brain injuries)

I also present a number of education sessions to parents, health professionals, maternal and child health nurses, teachers and child care workers.
