Shiatsu is a form of body work that originates from Japan and means finger pressure. A combination of thumb, palming, elbow, knee and foot pressure is applied to the body's energy channels to encourage the smooth flow of qi (life force) and unlock your natural self healing power.
It aims to promote health and well being and combines other Japanese therapies, such as Moxibustion, Cupping, Gua Sha and stretches to assist in your healing process.
Each treatment is specifically tailored to your needs using traditional Chinese Medicine diagnosis by checking your tongue & pulse and palpating hara (abdominal area).
Shiatsu is performed fully clothed on a comfortable futon unless cupping or moxa is applied.
