Araluen Grove formerly Lily Ponds Gardens

Only a 30-minute drive from Coolangatta airport, Lily Ponds Gardens is a tropical and native ornamental garden that would make a great filming location offering a variety of different looks.

Lily Ponds Gardens' extensive garden settings are set around three acres of ponds, dotted with water lilies and home to native ducks & wild water birds.

As you arrive, the road follows the edge of the largest pond through an avenue of flame trees under planted with vibrant day lilies. An alley of Kangaroo Paw gently follows the edge of the lake leading you to maples and lofty bamboos.

Sheltered pontoons sit over the water by established trees, under planted with exotic colours. There’s a sub-tropical orchard with a chicken coup under the shade of well-established mulberry trees. There’s a veggie patch, herb garden and edible flowers, and a nursery leading to a natural amphitheatre of carved terraces to sit 350 people, heavily planted with strawberries.

Facilities include compost toilets, an out-door kitchen and ample parking.
