Speech pathologists at Let's Talk provide quality assessment and therapy for communication difficulties. Common communication problems in children present as difficulties in any of the following areas:
- pronunciation (e.g. says "tup" for cup)
- listening and attention
-following directions
-telling stories that are easy to follow
-reading and spelling (including reading comprehension)
-stuttering
-developing vocabulary/putting words together to make a sentence
-making friends/interacting appropriately with adults and children
(social skills)
We also treat children who have been diagnosed with:
-Central Auditory Processing Difficulty (CAPD)
-Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
-Down's Syndrome

Communication and swallowing disorders in adults may be developmental (that is, the person was born with the life-long condition such as Down's syndrome) or may be acquired (for example, has difficulty communicating due to a neurological event such as traumatic brain injury or following a stroke).
At Let's Talk we also provide assessment and therapy for adults with communication and/or swallowing difficulties. Home visits are available upon request.
