Lara Sporting Club

The Lara Sporting Club Inc was formed in 1975 to support and promote sport for residents of Lara and their children.

The club currently caters for six sports: football, cricket, netball and baseball.

These sections field more than 60 teams (senior and junior) with approximately 1300 participants.

The Lara Sporting Club is based at the Lara Recreation Reserve in Mill Road, Lara. Facilities include the clubrooms and hospitality venue, football and cricket ovals, baseball diamond and netball courts.

The Club Lara venue, which supports the sporting sections, has a large sports bar, function rooms, two TAB points, Fox Sports and 50 pokies.

A major refurb is due for completion in December 2015.

One of the club’s major priorities is to lift the range and quality of food, service and entertainment provided for the Lara community and attract new membership and patronage.

As part of this commitment, the cost of social membership has been reduced to $10 per year.
