Miss Shelly Seashells is a local artist, her painting style is abstract-expressionist and is an independent artist.

Shelly is inspired by the surrounding islands, wildlife, the rural landscape, coastal views, piers, marinas and sea creatures! Shelly is the creator of, "Gypsy Pop" which incorporates modern and folk art, with traditional furniture pieces.

Shelly believes in a healthy community spirit, and donates her time back to her local community through volunteering her skills or donating her art.

Awards
> 2016 The Hervey Bay Art Society awarded Shelly First Place for the Members, Rural & Outback competition for her "bush-fire" at night.
Titled: Amber beneath the Southern Stars Year: 2016 Medium: Acrylic Size: 120x40cm Status: Sold to a local Hervey Bay Family

>2017 The Maryborough Agriculture Society and the Maryborough Art Society awarded Shelly an Encouragement Award for her cane toad painting Titled: "Kiss me, I"m a Prince!"


Education
Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Education (Primary), University of the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay (USC) Shelly is a pre-service teacher within the local schools.

Previously, Shelly completed a Fine Arts Degree with COFA, University of NSW, Paddington (UNSW) majored in Painting & Drawing, Arts & Design.

Shelly regularly donates her time and portions of sales back to varies animal rescue groups for ongoing care, Reefworld Hervey Bay, Fraser Coast Wildlife Sanctuary and Animal Shelters.
