Kootingal War Memorial Hall

The building of Kootingal War Memorial Hall was initiated on 3 September 1939, and completed on 15 August 1945.

On 17 December 1954, the Hall was dedicated as a "Monument" Memorial* to our fallen heroes who gave their lives in the service of the Commonwealth in World War II, and whose ultimate sacrifice enables us to live in the freedom we enjoy today.

For many years it has housed the Kootingal Preschool at the rear, and the Kootingal Library at the front. with the central area remaining open for hire for regular or occasional hire.

Recently, however, the Preschool was fortunate enough to have raised enough money through fundraising and grant funds, to build their own Centre, in Chaffey Street, Kootingal, and the Hall has now been opened up to two-thirds of its usable area, making it suitable for functions for as many as 100 to 120 people.

The Hall is managed by a Section 355 Committee of Tamworth Regional Council, whose mission it is to maintain and improve this wonderful asset for the community.

EXPECTATIONS --

We aim to keep the hire fees for this Hall very reasonable, and in return we ask that hirers respect the hard work and passion that has gone into it, by treating it with respect and keeping it clean and in an undamaged state.

If damage is found at the commencement of hire, the Hirer must contact a member of the Committee to inspect the damage before the event.

If upon inspection after the event hire the hall is found to be in clean and damage-free condition it may be that no cleaning fee is charged, and the Bond will be returned in full.

PRICES BELOW INCLUDE GST:

CASUAL HIRE -- $16.50 per hour
For meetings, workshops, weekly gatherings, craft, personal development, dance groups, etc. There will usually be no bond charged on these events, provided no alcohol is to be served.

PARTY BOOKINGS --
For larger events, usually on Friday or Saturday evenings, with extra time allowed for setting up and cleaning:
Booking Deposit $50.00
Party Fee $110.00 per day
Bond $800.00 negotiable
Cleaning Fee $130.00
Large parties, where alcohol is to be served or brought onto the premises, MUST be registered with the Police.

SMALL CHILDREN'S PARTIES --
Fee $55.00 negotiable
