Jenny & John Preston have been partners with Zambia Open Community Schools Lusaka (ZOCS) since 2000, and with CHODORT Skills Training Centre, Choma, since 2006. They first met Mrs Harriet Sianjibu Miyato in 1993 when the Australian Government granted her a scholarship to study a Masters in Health Education at Deakin University, Burwood. Mrs Miyato has been Co-ordinator of ZOCS since 1999; they met Rev David Nixon & Mr Subi Toms in 2006, and resolved to find ways to fund Year 8 graduates of community schools to further their education through the skills training programs at CHODORT.
Kondanani Zambia was incorporated in 2011, and held its first Annual Meeting in September 2012. Members have contributed to the planning of this first Alternative Gift Catalogue for Kondanani Zambia Inc.
Kondanani is a Zambian word meaning ‘love for’; therefore Kondanani Zambia = Love for Zambia.
