We are in an exciting new phase of the 20+ years of existence, moving forward with better quality product lines, better quality bait, better quality service and advice. There is nothing more painful than trying to find the correct equipment in a world full of different brands, sizes and styles. We have that first-hand experience to share. So in turn it will help you find what you need and are looking for in a tackle store.

The reasons for these drastic changes are to stay competitive in the market today. If you don’t you will become stale and it will show in how we represent ourselves in the fishing community. Having a “point of difference” is our main goal. We give sound advice as we have been fishing since we were in nappies. We are affiliated with charter boat operators who actually know where the fish are. Rod and reel repairs come naturally to us and our work speaks for itself. Best of all we are open when real fisherman want to fish.

Giving our loyal and new customers more opportunities to interact with the business will intern give everyone a higher understanding to increase their catch rate, and isn’t that what we all want? From all this we are striving to give you a better range in stock. As we pull apart and repair all rod and reel types we actually know the good from the bad.

After being around long enough to realise that looking after the local every day enthusiast is what’s needed. We have engaged several local businesses and community groups to come along for the ride. We feel that this is the way to boost community spirits. “Keeping it local” is what we want in the fishing community and bringing quality to the consumer at affordable prices with the assistance of other various local organisations is how we would like to maintain that.

At Kawana Bait and Tackle we know fishing and our experienced staff have fished all over Australia gaining specialised knowledge and techniques to give you the best know how where ever you want to go or whatever you want to catch. Not only that, we actually fish!

We have fished all over Australia, not just for a quick stop over but living in areas where we have needed to adapt in order to catch the fish we are targeting. Give it being a sea running trout in Tasmania, A marlin off the rocks in NSW, a massive S.A snapper or whiting. A 40kg GT on the Whitsundays or a wahoo off Mooloolaba. We can actually say we have done it.

Obviously the next progression surely would be a tackle shop in order to pass that experience on to the next fisherman.

Being only 100m (as the crow flies) from Kawana boat ramp, Mooloolah River and 200m from Buddina beach, we are conveniently servicing early morning necessities and late evening last minute decisions with supplying Bait, Tackle, Rod/ Reel repairs, Gas and ice.
