Junoon The Indian Flame

Growing up in Dubai and India, we have fond memories of eating traditional Indian food, be it at home or at a restaurant. Going out for dinner was an elaborate affair and we loved to dine at some of the best Indian restaurants in Dubai. The quality of food, the taste and the aroma were second to none.
Indian food is not about curry out of a jar or sauces that have been made for weeks and are reused again and again. Every dish and every curry has its own unique cooking technique and its own set of spices. The spices need to be ground or roasted fresh to release the aromas. All types of meat cannot be used for all curries. Traditional Indian food does not allow you to pick and mix your curries as is the case in many Indian restaurants here. Our menu is a set menu, and all our curries are cooked in the most authentic and traditional way. We do not allow for pick and mix.
JUNOON literally means “passion” in Urdu, and the inspiration to open JUNOON The Indian Flame stems from our passion for true Indian food and flavours. After moving to Queensland around 8 years ago and calling Australia home, we missed the traditional flavours of the Indian food, especially North-Indian Cuisine. Our aim is to bring in the authentic flavours without compromising on quality and taste, and offer a fine dining Indian experience.
We use fresh free-range meat in our dishes, and also freshly roast and ground our spices. Our fruits and vegetables are all farm fresh and locally sourced.
