The Institute for International Trade (IIT) was established at the University of Adelaide in early 2003 aspire to be the premier Australian institution providing training, strategic advice and practical assistance relating to the practice of international trade policy.
The Institute's main activities are:
- Specialised contract research and consulting
- Tailor-made trade-related capacity building training programs
- Postgraduate academic programs in the international trade.
IIT has developed close working relationships with a large number of national and international partners including the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Development Law Organization (ILDO), the United Nations Economic and Social Commision for the Asia-Pacific, the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Australia's overseas aid agency, AusAID.
