I Can … Therapy Centre is based at the Hope Early Development Centre in Broulee (formerly Broulee Long Day Care Centre), Eurobodalla Shire, NSW South Coast.
Sylvia Read is an accredited member of OT Australia; has completed international certification in Sensory Integration through the University of Southern California, USA; and has attended many post graduate training courses and workshops relating to paediatric Occupational Therapy.
Sylvia is registered with various funding bodies including Better Start, Helping Children with Autism, Medicare, and Private Health Funds.
I Can ... Therapy Centre offers a hands-on approach to therapy in a well equipped sensory gym. It is designed to meet the needs of children of all ages with various developmental delays and/or disabilities.
A key to successful therapy is intensive intervention.
Being located within a childcare centre allows families the option of intensive intervention throughout their child's day. The teacher, aide and therapist work closely to design and implement a specific program to allow intensive therapy and education goals to be achieved.
Attending both I Can ... Therapy Centre and the childcare centre is not a requirement, and children of all ages are welcome to attend therapy sessions only.
