The Humble Hand store came about out of a desire to make ethical products more accessible. We found that buying products that don’t harm the environment, ourselves or animals, was sometimes really hard! So we created a store where all your ethical alternatives are in the one place.
Each product we sell here brings about social good- whether it’s through social enterprise models or simply conducting trade the right way.
We’re about ethical production for the sake of social good, not for our own moral consciences.
We reach for the highest standards when it comes to sourcing your products. Where this is not available, we believe in supporting the good that is happening. So if a Fairtrade, organic version of a product is available on the market, that’s what we’ll seek to stock. But if one does not yet exist, in order to increase the overall social good, we will choose to find a product that is produced with at least some social good in mind, above its competitors.
This is because we believe that for the world to truly change we’ve got to bring everyone on board as far as is possible.
The Humble Hand was founded by Joshua Grant and Caitlin Grant in 2014 after being inspired by hearing about the impact of Fairtrade at their local church.
They began with stocking Fairtrade coffee, tea and chocolate and Thankyou. products- also a business they were keen to support, because of the life-changing impact they were having on developing communities all over the world.
Josh and Caitlin saw the link between our purchasing power in the developed world, and the poverty in the developing world. So they started Humble Hand Apparel, where the very same principals apply to the clothing range.
And so the Humble Hand Group began!
