Hobart Women's Shelter

Hobart Women's Shelter provides crisis accommodation and support for women who experience homelessness and domestic violence.

We offer:
•Emergency accommodation for up to 6 weeks. During this time we provide assistance and advocacy to support women and children as they arrange longer-term accommodation.
•Fully furnished and equipped 2 and 3 bedroom safe houses
•An experienced support worker to provide case management addressing any concerns such as parenting issues, legal issues, physical and mental health issues, drug and alcohol issues
•Referrals and advocacy with other services such as counselling, legal help, family law court, health services, transitional support services, transport, schools. We also assist with arranging and attending some of these appointments.
•Support for women, children and young people as they deal with their feelings about the changes and difficulties they have experienced
•Individual and group information and social sessions.
