Children, Young People and Families Health Services within Hunter New England Local Health District provide a range of health care services designed to meet the ever-changing health needs of babies, children, young people and their families.

Five major acute hospitals provide paediatric care in Hunter New England, which include Maitland Hospital, Tamworth Hospital, Armidale Hospital, Manning Hospital and the specialist John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle.

Across the five major hospitals over 90,000 children and young people present to Emergency Departments each year.

Throughout the 15,000 square kilometre Health District a number of Community Health Centres exist, providing primary healthcare options to local communities outside the hospital setting.
