To study and consolidate the story of Harry Hawker and promote study and distribute information on his life and the achievements.
Over the last hundred years Harry Hawker has been remembered and forgotten many times. From the book of his life and work by Muriel Hawker in 1922 to the Biography by Lew Blackmore. Many aspects of his early life can not be verified. However, nearly all aspects of his exploits and achievements are extremely well recorded by the media, Sopwith and held by the hundred years of Kingston group and the Hawker Society in the UK.
There have been and still are stories, articles, publications, books and web sites that have also mention Harry Hawker a few of them are markedly incorrect. There can be no control over many of these sources some over eight years old and there is no way of correcting them. However, knowledge of the sources and a centre of verified material will prevent many of the problems accruing again.
To perpetuate the story of Harry Hawker the Society will:
1. Gather and study the Harry Hawker story and support any works, publication or dramatic production with adequate information to the point that any representation is as truthful and or as faithful to Harry Hawker as possible.
2. Fund and support displays and exhibitions to explain, inform and educate the public, students and professionals in associated fields (Aircraft Industry, Racing and Motor Industry).
3. Gather and or acquire material or items that can be used in and displayed at exhibitions. By gaining grants, purchasing or donations.
4. Plan, organize and operate a museum dedicated to the memory of Harry Hawker.

Memorials.
To choose and correct appropriate memorials to Harry Hawker and his friends in historically accurate positions.

As recent as a few years ago, the Harry Hawker Memorial at Moorabbin Airport was in danger of being removed. If not for the actions of a member of the Australian National aviation Museum, Moorabbin Airport, the Airport Authority would have moved or dismantled the memorial that has stood there since 1965.
Harry Hawkers grave is in the church yard of St Pauls on the Hook Chessington, England, since the death of Muriel Hawker, no one has had trusteeship and the records were lost during the Second World War. In 1989, the hundredth anniversary of his birth Hawker Siddley payed for the grave to be cleaned. Except for the parishioners of St Pauls and the People of Kingston on Thames there would be no one to take care of his grave.
The Society will:
1. Keep watch over existing memorials in perpetuity, along side and with local interest groups or in there place should they leave the area or close.
2. Provide funds to maintain existing memorials to Harry Hawker.
3. Identify places that have a significant to Harry Hawker and gain the proper permits, contact the local community, Councils and Historical societies.
4. Make sure that any proposal for a Plaques, Memorials, Monuments or Statues are suitable and as faithful to Harry Hawker as possible.
Promotion and Media.
To encourage the production of documentaries or dramatizations of Harry Hawker's life and pursue the general media in promoting historical events.
During the period of hundredth anniversary Harry Hawkers return to Australia the media were sent media releases and contacted on a regular basis. On one occasion a top rating radio show arranged an interview, However it did not happen. The reason given was “we didn’t know who you were talking about”. There are now during the period of the hundredth anniversary of the First World War many occasions of Harry Hawkers achievements. By getting the attention of the media in this period it will become less difficult to get press releases noticed.
1. Finding media that will help in any future project and maintaining contact with them.
2. Presenting a press pack to media outlets to all media outlets.
3. Inform and notify interested media outlets about significant events and achievements in Harry Hawkers life, his friends and company.
