Eastern Goldfields Halfway House Inc. (Prospect Lodge) was originally located at the KCGM superpit site, in 1979 KCGM donated 11 Porter Street in exchange for the original property. 11 Porter Street used to be the Bank of NSW Managers' house. Prospect Lodge was originally used as a Halfway House for men with AOD issues.
In 2007 the service was closed to renovate and remodel the service as a residential drug and alcohol rehab. In 2010 the service recommenced operation and in January 2011 the service was opened to women.
Since 2010 the service has grown to include Transistional Housing, Cannabis Intervention and Sexual Assualt Resource Centre. Due to the expansion of the service it was decided to change our name to a more appropriate heading, Goldfields Rehabiliation Services Inc.
