More about Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary

Please Note. The old Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary is no longer operating. It is now a beautiful wedding venue call Sanctuary Venue.

Who remembers the iconic Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary? It seems a lot of locals and visitors to the Sunshine Coast do, and many recall visiting the Sanctuary many years ago.

The Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary provided visitors with the opportunity to get amongst various wildlife animals and of course a large number of deers. A unique experience which included driving your car throughout the sanctuary and being able to hand feed some of the animals.

After some years the Sanctuary was closed down and brought by a developer. Then the entire property was subdivided up and sold on.
Although a shame to see such an icon piece of the Sunshine Coast disappear. There is still a large piece of the historic sanctuary that lives on.

Two particular areas of the old Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary are still in their original form and to this day are still being utilised and open to the public.

Under new ownership and management, the Forest Sanctuary makes up a large component of the Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary. Now an established and reputable wedding venue on the Sunshine Coast. Kept in its original glory of an abundance of natural lush gardens and revitalised premises to hold the perfect wedding.
