Fishburners

So how did all this get started? Well it all started when Peter Davison met Mike Casey. Peter was a former venture capitalist in Silicon Valley and Mike had embraced the startup scene in Sydney, and proving how a successful Australian business could be built from nothing but passion and belief.

An old wandering capitalist seadog and a cool young mover and shaker, were in many ways, world’s apart. But Pete’s need for cool friends, and Mike’s need for a backer of his idea - to build a house full of mega-cool startups led them to the same conclusion.

Then, Fishburners was born. A space for aspiring tech entrepreneurs to learn and communicate, run by entrepreneurs.

Since then Fishburners has seen nothing but impressive growth and we’re very excited to have opened a new office in Brisbane.

So where to from here? Well that’s for you, the Fishburners community to decide.

Step up and share your ideas – or better yet, don’t ask for approval from anyone – just start acting on them – like we did.

Let your community decide what’s going to work and what isn’t. Make some friends, give and share, learn and grow. Above all, embrace the freedom that we dreamt Fishburners would give you to choose your own path and to follow your passion and values.
