Originally born and raised in Harvey, I have lived in the City of Karratha in the Pilbara region of Western Australia for the past 14 years. Five of those years were spent in Roebourne and the past nine in Wickham.

I have been married for the past 17 years to my husband Edgar, and we have three children. My husband is a former Police Officer, however is now a Train Driver working for Rio Tinto.

I am currently the Chair of Regional Development Australia Pilbara, a City of Karratha Councillor, President of the Wickham Community Association, Chair of the Karratha Emergency Relief Organisation, President of Wickham Youth Group and President of the Karratha branch of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I also on sit several Boards such as the Regional Development Australia Northern Australian Alliance, Yaandina Family Services and am a member of the Joint Development Assessment Panel for the Pilbara.

More recently, I was appointed as the Independent Board Director for the Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation Community and Charitable Trust Ltd and the Western Australian Council of Social Services (WACOSS). Previous to this, I was the Deputy President of the Pilbara Regional Council and a Board member of the Pilbara Development Commission.

I have worked extensively with youth, disability services and Aboriginal engagement and I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Philosophy and Sociology from Murdoch University (1992) and am a Justice of the Peace. I am also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD). My previous experience includes appointments with ACT Disability Services, ACT Youth Justice, Quamby Youth Detention Centre, Family and Children's Services, Karratha Youth Housing Project, Intellectual Disability Services, Jobsolve, and Karijini Aboriginal Corporation. I have also worked extensively in both State and Federal Politics and the Not for Profit Sector.

I am passionate about the Pilbara and creating a brighter future for all who choose to call the Pilbara region home and I believe that together we can achieve great things.
