Introducing EP Mental Health Warriors
Fighting for a Stigma free EP!
Inspired by and in memory of Kirsty Traeger &
Proud supporters of Kirsty’s Legacy

EP Mental Health Warriors are a passionate group of people that are raising much needed funds to support the Mental Health programs and organisations already operating on the Eyre Peninsula today. We are a non for profit organisation run by a small team of enthusiastic youth volunteers aged between 18 and 35.
We as a group plan to pick up where Kirsty Traeger left off and continue her mission to ‘flip mental health on its head’.
As a team we will organise and host numerous fun Mentally Fit events and programs across the Eyre Peninsula to raise funds. We also support and assistance whenever possible for other Mental Health events and fundraisers.
It is important for us as a group to raise the much needed funds, but to also raise awareness on all things Mental Health. We feel it is time to end the stigma surrounding this and education is the key in developing a broader aspect on Mental Health in general.
We want to continue to educate the Eyre Peninsula residents just as Kirsty did. There is absolutely no reason to be ashamed of mental health but unfortunately this is how most people are forced to feel and this is due to stigma.
We all have a story, and Kirsty shared hers in hope that it would educate and support others. She wanted to show others they are not alone.
Our outcome is to open doors and shed light on Mental Health for sufferers and supporters by supporting organisations and professionals who are there to assist in times of need. There is support out there for everyone no matter what their situation is.
Hopefully by raising awareness to as many people as possible right across the Eyre Peninsula, more and more people will seek help, notice the warning signs within their families/friends/community members and make Mental Health stigma free.
There are programs and organisations here on the Eyre Peninsula that are run by remarkable trained professions. If you want to seek help, learn about Mental Health or find ways to become Mentally Fit there is a program or organisation for you. But it is vital that these programs and organisations continue and we hope to do all we can to help.
We hope to also be able to promote and donate to some fantastic organisations like Beyond Blue, MensLine Australia, Lifeline and more.
Kirsty is our inspiration and motivation. We are proud supporters of her Legacy.
