East End Studios

Our Story.

The idea of East End Studios laid dormant for a long time. As a child growing up on the family farm, Sam Weckert was encouraged to use his hands to create anything he wished in the family workshop, which had been used by his father, and the previous 4 generations before him.

The special workshop was built with the reused stone, timber and iron from the pre-1900's hotel which was at the time, on the family's land. This unique space with it's mix of old and new comntents has forever been a source of inspiration for Sam to create, construct and dream up ideas to turn into tangible, practical objects.

After 5 years of carpentry working for a builder, a 6 month sabbatical of Northern Australia and a 2 year stint fitting out night clubs and bars, a passion for combining all these skills lead to East End Studios being born.

Now the generations of creativity and hand skills that runs through Sam's veins, shine's through with the electric mixture of new and recycled materials used to create handmade, bespoke, high quality furniture.
