Darling Downs Vets

Darling Downs Vets was formed in July 2015 following a business restructure of the Oakey Veterinary Hospital. It encompassess the equine surgical and medical hospital, equine field and racetrack service, small animal and farm animal service that were previously encompassed under the Oakey Veterinary Hospital banner. It no longer has any association with OVH repro.

Darling Downs Vets is moving to new purpose built facilities at Westbrook and Oakey as of the 1st March 2016. The veterinarians of Darling Downs Vets continue to be committed to providing you excellence in veterinary treatment for all animals placed under their care.

DDVets is equipped with a purpose built equine theatre and recovery room, intensive care and isolation facilities, in house laboratory, and modern diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. The hospital provides first opinion and referral services to horse owners from all over Queensland and northern NSW. All current surgical procedures are performed at DDV, including arthroscopy, orthopaedics, upper respiratory tract surgery, colic surgery and eye surgery.

The hospital is currently staffed by 7 veterinarians and 16 dedicated support staff. Routine consultations are performed Monday-Friday and emergencies are accepted 24/7 to provide peace of mind to both clients and referring veterinarians.
