Cressy Chaff Cutters

Our chaff is placed into unique window chaff bags so that you as the customer can see the quality of our chaff before you buy and without the bag needing to be opened.

Our chaff is cut twice a week, with only a few bags held for emergency orders, to ensure that you the customer are always guaranteed of a fresh product.

All our chaff is cut from export quality hay. We cut our chaff longer than others because horses need to chew their feed properly so that they produce plenty of saliva as this is the first step in them breaking their food down.

Our chaff is also tested on a regular basis to guarantee the essential nutrients are there for your horses optimum health and performance and to also reduce your supplement costs.

Good quality chaff has a sweet smell, if it smells good, then it is good!

We also put back into the industry by sponsorship and are known for our much sought after embroidered unique pink rugs, hay bags and hats.

Our products are used by the leading racehorse trainers in the state.

Agents statewide are involved in the horse industry from racehorses to kids ponies and with their knowledge and our research have combined to make our quality product.

All our chaff is available in 25kgs bags, except cool chaff which 20kg and pony/show pony is 22kg.

Products Available:-
Chaff - Lucerne, Oaten, Mixed (50/50 Oaten/Lucerne), Show Pony (mixture of grass straw/Lucerne hay), Pony (mixture of grass straw, Oaten & Lucerne Hay), Cool (straw no grain - recommended by veterinarians for lamenitic horses).

Grain - Oats, Barley, Maize and Lupins (all of which can be cracked as well).

Wheat, Canola Meal and Lucerne Pellets.

Premix Feeds - varying quantities of cracked barley, cracked maize, cracked lupins, canola meal, oaten chaff and Lucerne chaff.

Premix 1 - mix of chaff/grain designed for an easy feed
Premix 2 - mix of slightly more grain/less chaff designed more for show
Premix 3 - mix of grains/no chaff designed for racehorses/competition.
