Cornwall Butterfly & Moth Society

Cornwall Butterfly and Moth Society is a registered charity formed by some of Cornwall’s most knowledgeable butterfly and moth enthusiasts to manage conservation sites, carry out scientific study of the life cycle of butterflies and moths and help preserve some of Cornwall’s most threatened wildlife.

FORMATION OF CBMS:
In response to the increasing offers of donations and requests from landowners for help with the management of their land for conservation it was decided that CBMS should become a charity – information below.

THE MAIN AIMS OF THE SOCIETY:
1. Manage conservation sites.
2. Work closely with other conservation groups.
3. Carry out scientific study of the life cycle of butterflies and moths.
4. Improve our knowledge of Cornwall’s butterflies and moths.
5. Encourage others to help with the conservation of butterflies and moths in Cornwall.
6. Create a group in which members can make friends whilst making a worthwhile contribution to preserving some of Cornwall’s rich wildlife.
