Cancer Council - Shitbox Rally 2018 - Team? TBA

Mark Weckert and Stephen Collins will be taking part in – the 2017 Shitbox Rally. A charity fundraiser for the Cancer Council of Australia.

Briefly; it is an event taking place from the 27th May through to 2nd June 2017 involving 200 teams attempting to drive from Adelaide to Cairns via Alice Springs and the Australian outback in cars worth less than $1000 dollars.

We have been fortunate enough to be included in the forthcoming rally and would like to make a huge contribution to support the Cancer Council and all the great work they do.

We have already purchased our vehicle, a more than worthy 1990 Peugeot 505 wagon (for the measly sum of $100) and are well underway preparing it for the challenge.

Our team, aptly named “Save Our Shitbox” will be joining in with the shenanigans of our fellow competitors and will be running with a nautical theme throughout the rally and lead up. At the conclusion of the rally, all the vehicles involved (if they make it) will be auctioned off to raise further funds for the cause.

This is a cause close to our hearts, as we both lost our Fathers to Cancer, so the opportunity to make a difference is something we are very passionate about.
