Cafe Mod Barista

Located in Cabarita Beach on the Tweed Coast, Café Mod Barista is all about the perfect cup of coffee, accompanied by great food in a chilled atmosphere. You’ll love the retro London Mod influences and cool coastal setting as you sit back and relax for a meal or a coffee.

We’re as organic as possible and have a paddock to plate philosophy, sourcing high quality local produce and ensuring our ingredients really come to life on the plate. Our suppliers include Yarra Valley Farms for our fruit and vegetables as well as a few helpful locals who often drop off a box or two from their harvest, Blue Bay Gourmet for our smallgoods, Sol Breads and Bear Bones specialty coffee roasters.

Our passionate owners, Jenny and Marc have decades of industry experience behind them. Marc has worked as Chef and Food & Beverage Manager for a number of leading Sydney and Wollongong hotels including the Park Royal, Ramada, Novotel, Travelodge and Holiday Inn. And with a motto of “good enough is not good enough”, it’s no wonder the meals he turns out look as spectacular as they taste.

Meanwhile, Jenny is the friendly face and chief barista of Café Mod. She’s scoured the country in search of the perfect consistent bean and delivers amazing coffee time and again. Jenny is meticulous in her coffee making and is fascinated by the science behind the art.
