Visitor Information Centres

The Burdekin Tourism Association in conjunction with Burdekin Shire Council operates two visitor information centres in the district. Both centres are accredited with Tourism and Events Queensland.

• Burdekin Visitor Information Centre - Plantation Park on the Bruce Highway, Ayr (07 4783 5988)
• Burdekin Gateway Visitor Information Centre - Old Home Hill Railway Station at 12 Railway Ave, Home Hill (07 4782 8241)

These accredited visitor information centres offer a one stop shop for travel information including maps, brochures, and itineraries.

Staffed by skilled and knowledgeable volunteer locals, the Burdekin Visitor Information Centres can provide advice on the things to see, things to do and where to eat.

How to promote your Tourism Product?

For a small annual fee of $70.00 (including GST), brochures are displayed at both the Ayr and Home Hill Visitor Information Centres.
