More about Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails

Welcome to Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails
Our members are drawn from the Somerset, Toowoomba and South Burnett Regions and Brisbane Valley Heritage Trails enjoys council sponsorship. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at locations ranging from Fernvale to Nanango, including Lowood, Coominya Esk, Toogoolawah, Harlin, Colinton, Linville, Moore, Benarkin, Blackbutt and Yarraman.
Our meetings are open to the public, visitors are welcome and minutes or information about meetings can be obtained at Nanango/South Burnett Energy and Visitor Information Centre
(Phone 07 4171 0100) during business hours or email secretary@brisbanevalleyheritage.org.au
Membership forms can be obtained from the Secretary.
We have developed Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Signage, heritage calendars, books of larrikin tales of the Brisbane Valley Vols. I & II, Building the Line, the stories of those who built the Blackbutt extension of the Brisbane Valley Rail Line, Q150 Multi-media package including DVD, CD, Book recording the history of the Brisbane Valley and interactive Postcards for local towns.
We continue to be active partners with our member organisations in celebrating school, church & town centenaries and festivals.
We now have a significant collection of photos of the pioneer towns of the Brisbane River Valley, as well as old photos associated with the heritage trails through the valley.

We are happy to share these historical resources.
