What We Do:

BREED is an independent not-for-profit organisation, working within:

The youth sector to improve their year 12 attainment and their transition to post school education, training and employment; and

The small and developing business sector assisting businesses to take that next step by providing low cost solutions to operate within.

The Students’ requirements for work placements in Industry come from the 21 High Schools, TAFE WSI and Trade Schools that BREED services. The students’ courses cover 14 vocational subject areas (frameworks), each requiring a mandatory work placement component for their HSC studies.

Frameworks include: Business Services, Information Technology, Café Skills, Commercial Cookery, Entertainment, Tourism, Primary Industries, Construction, Metals and Engineering, Retail, Automotive, Financial Services, Health Services Assistance and Electro-technology.

BREED continues to make a difference to the lives of over 4,000 young people per year by providing work placements, brokering partnerships that will provide opportunities for young people, and providing new and developing business a low cost solution to operate within.

Welcome to the BREED Facebook page. We have created this space as an online community where individuals and organistions interested in youth employment and engagement with schools, business and the general community sector can discuss, receive information and make comments.

Our aim is to find out about your stories and thoughts and hope you can contribute to our online discussions.

You are welcome to leave comments, add photos and videos, and share your voice with the community. We want to encourage lively debate, so please feel free to offer a differing point of view, opinions or another perspective on the topics we post about.

In order to ensure that the information on this page is correct, legal and constructive, we do monitor this page and remove posts that are deemed inappropriate, illegal, derogatory towards any person or group, contain inaccurate or misleading health advice or are overtly promotional.

• We will remove spam, advertisements or endorsements of any commercial organisation.
• While we support your right to express an opinion, posts repeated on a regular basis about the same topic will be regarded as spam and removed.
• For our users' safety and privacy, we will remove any posts that contain personal contact details or private information. All posts are public, so do not post anything you aren't happy for everyone to see.
• We will remove posts or links to information that are abusive, offensive, illegal, profane, or defamatory toward a person, entity, belief or symbol. We will also report any such instances to Facebook.
• We will not tolerate stalking, trolling or deliberate disruption of discussion.
• All posts must be in English.
• We reserve the right to address factual errors by deleting posts containing inaccurate, misleading or potentially dangerous health advice.
• We will reply to comments at our discretion.

While we support open discussion, we regularly review the site and check any content posted or uploaded, and remove content we deem inappropriate or that breaks one of our house rules. We reserve the right to delete posts at our discretion and block users where necessary.
