What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient healing therapy whereby practitioners channel universal life force energy. The term “Reiki” refers to both spiritual energy – what we are made up of, the fabric of everything – and a Japanese healing meditation practice that encourages deep relaxation and self-healing on all levels. It is simple, powerful and limitless spiritual practice that is free from any particular belief or religious tradition.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.
It offers safe, non invasive balancing based on what you need in the moment. It subtly and powerfully supports your own self healing process.

What is Sound Reiki®?

Sound is something that is constantly around us and affects us instantly on every level of our being and in so many different ways. Sound can lift us up and make us feel enlightened. It can also bring us down, make us tired, lethargic and sick.

When sound is applied to water, you can see the differences between negative and positive sound in the ice crystals Positive sounds produce beautiful, balanced and symmetrical patterns. Negative sounds and words produce ugly shapes. This is also true when sound is played through sand on a blackboard and scientists in the field of Cymatics have now seen this phenomena on the surface of cells in the human body.

Have you ever stood very still and listened to the sounds in nature? What can you hear and how does it make you feel? The crashing of waves on a beach? The warbling of birds early in the morning outside your window? The cicadas vibrating at dusk? Have you ever witnessed a heated argument or listened to heavy metal music?

Everything in the universe is made from energy and matter and is vibrating in its own frequency. That frequency may be positive or negative and according to the law of attraction, will attract like experiences. When you have healed a negative aspect of self, you are then vibrating at a higher, more positive frequency and attracting more positive experiences and people into your life.

This is the goal of Sound Reiki: to return the body to a higher vibration, to that of which it was before it was polluted by fear and negativity.

Sound travels through water at 1500 meters per second or 3350mph. Our bodies are made up of more than 70% water.

Sound Reiki® is a more comprehensive form of traditional Reiki in that the vibration of sound is a direct current through the body. Like traditional reiki, the practitioner channels Divine Universal Energy which is created through a prayer of intent. Traditional sacred symbols are still applied; however thy are converted into tones, light and sound codes that can affect us at a DNA level, repairing broken DNA strands and direct the energy where it is required almost instantaneously.

What does a treatment involve?

The Sound Reiki® treatment does not require the use of hands or involve touch as the toning from the voice of the practitioner is used to channel Divine Source healing energy.

Sound Reiki® practitioners are also trained in Advanced Applied Kinesiology and will use techniques such as muscle testing to accurately assist in locating core problems that require addressing.

The client will either sit in a comfortable chair or lie down if preferable with their hands palms facing upwards towards the ceiling. Firstly a discussion will take place in order to identify the core problems to be addressed, followed by the receiving of tones. These session will end with a grounding prayer of intent and toning.

Because these sessions produce a very deep healing and a powerful shift of energy within the physical body, it is important before and after a Sound Reiki session to drink plenty of water.

Hollistic Massage
A gentle relaxing massage working with the muscles to relieve tension, lactic acid and restore balance.

Holistic massage combines a therapeutic and nurturing process of touch and response with each treatment adapted to the client’s unique needs, physical characteristics and personality.

Holistic massage is a person centred treatment guided by principles of sensitivity, awareness and quality of touch. This enables the massage therapist to work with the muscles, applying techniques and skills in an appropriate manner.

Massage speeds up the natural healing processes of the body, calming the mind and settling emotions.


Massage Treatments $60 per hour

I believe in making healing accessible to all - It is recognized that "Carer Burnout" is not only a debilitating stress caused by a person placing too much of themselves into the act of caring for another in need, that it also is the cause of absenteeism and lost income for both the carer and the organization.

From the beginning of July 2015, the special rate of $40 ($30 concession) will be applied to all sessions for carers in the employ of an aged care facility, disability program or in home care. Please supply your employers details to obtain these special rates upon booking.

If you are an Aged Care Facility or Organization providing care services, I can come to you to provide your team with the holistic relaxation care and support they need to increase productivity, reduce absenteeism and facilitate ongoing well being within your organization to promote a healthy and well balanced workplace.

I believe in making healing accessible to all - Reiki and Massage are safe practices for all ages from birth to death and dealing with bereavement. If you are suffering from a terminal Illness or under Palliative care, please contact me as arrangements can be made for home/hospital visits.
