What is Bookon?

Bookon is your friendly, neighborhood digital marketplace for books. Think eBay, no auction, just books, Australia only.

You can organize to meet on campus, in person, or have buyers pick up in your store, or ship your book directly to customers. Bookon requests orders made through Bookon are shipped by sellers within three days. All books are shipped from within Australia.

Bookon Team?

The Bookon Team have previously operated two of Australia's largest retail 'off campus' University bookshops. We specialized in academic and reference texts for Universities across Australia, our bookstores were located in Melbourne and Adelaide.

The team at Bookon understands the discount and second hand university and schools textbook market. Bookon is setting a new direction for textbook purchasing in Australia's education sector. Bookon is a member of Australian Booksellers Association.

Why Bookon?

In 2011 Bookon was created in a plethora of cafes, libraries and home offices in beautiful Melbourne. Powered by doses of caffeine, we crafted this beautiful website to realize our vision of a better online experience for buying and selling books in Australia.

Frustrated by the state of play in Australia, we are striving to create an online marketplace for books where buyers and sellers can meet, used books can be exchanged sold or purchased and where orders are delivered quickly and painlessly. We hope you find it both useful and fun!

We aspire for Bookon to be a key strategic Australian website for online education support, a place for University students to convene and interact online, to discuss, cooperate and network as a community, and we aspire to be an avenue for students to pass on their knowledge and provide support and assistance to others seeking Higher Education in Australia
