The focus of Bodhi Tree Surfboards is to get you into the shed to build a board, to bring something into existence that will only ever be a one off, to create something you can hand down to your kids or even build with your kids. We want you to build a board that you’ll be stoked to show your mates and proud to show your family, whether you’re a boy or a girl, a women or a man, 15 or 80, we want to give you the opportunity to feel the stoke of building a hollow wooden surfboard.

At Bodhi Tree Surfboards we choose to use sustainably grown local paulownia and reclaimed recycled timbers when ever and where ever possible. Our aim is to be as wise in our choices as we can to continually move Bodhi Tree Surfboards towards being as environmentally friendly as possible.

All of our frames are laser cut to make life easier for you, they fit together without any fuss or extra dirty work. Each board is computer designed then drafted for cutting, we have designed our boards to work with the natural tendencies of the timber without losing functionality. All of our boards are designed to increase your enjoyment in the water.Our shapes have been designed to give the longboard dynamics of easy paddling and wave catching with the flexability and fluidity of a short board.

Our kits give you a frame and all the essential accessories you'll need to get your hollow wooden surfboard into the water; breather plugs, leash loops, fin plugs and boxes.

The Bodhi Tree was the tree the Buddha sat under when he realised his enlightenment, we reckon if your sitting on top of one you’ve got a pretty good chance of doing the same.
