The Bloomin’ Beautiful Blackbutt is the gateway to the South Burnett Region. Blackbutt has a great variety of country town stores including the Roy Emerson Museum, Nukku Nook, Blackbutt Art Gallery, library, vet, community bank cafes, general store, newsagency, fuel supplies and a pub. A regional cellar door operates from Butt Art Gallery in the main street, right next door to the award winning Blackbutt Bakery.
Blackbutt boasts a variety of accommodation options including great camping and caravan sites at the showgrounds in Bowman Road.
The rail trail continues north from Blackbutt to Yarraman for 19km. The section between Moore and Yarraman is 47km and makes for a great adventure through the forestry and traversing some great Queensland countryside.
The Blackbutt Visitor Information Centre is located in the slab hut at Les Muller Park. There you can find maps, brochures and ideas for countless adventures in the South Burnett.
