Ben ‘beneb’ Mackay picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and hasn’t been able to let go since.

Now at the age of 27, Ben has toured the country relentlessly (Clea, Sahara Beck, Zefereli, The Cairos, Hey Geronimo, Neighbour, Sheppard, LeSuits, The Worriers) in pursuit of his passion to entertain and experience music to it’s fullest.

Ben plays all roles in his rock band project, beneb, writing and recording the arrangement. Many of his original and collaborative efforts have been played on local, national and international radio stations such as Triple J, Triple J Unearthed radio, Brisbane’s 4zzz, and France’s Radio KC online radio. Not to mention, beneb will see out 2017 with two independently released ep's.

As beneb, Ben writes introspective songs and music about the human condition and exploring ideas of how and what makes us tick; if the things we experience are as real as we feel or merely projections of what once was. For fans of Brian Wilson, Jim Morrison and Josh Homme.
