Derek McFadden is the owner of Artis, located in Sydney City. Derek, who originally hales from Scotland, left his homeland in 1991 in search of the sunny shores of Sydney. Establishing a new base and utilising his industry know how , Derek created an "edgy" meets sophisticated premises in a central location. His vision of hair & beauty services all under the one roof came to life .

Artis work in conjunction with the ABC working on mini series Water Rats and White Collar Blue and their client list reads like a who­s who in the Australian Entertainment industry, including actors and various catwalk models. Artis continues to flourish and enjoy success as one of Sydney's leading, cutting edge salons.
