Anna Meares Velodrome

The Anna Meares Velodrome (stadium) was designed by COX Architects in Queensland and opened in November 2016. The seating capacity of the stadium can house up to 1500 spectator, an expand to accommodate a further 2500 spectators.

The Velodrome (track) was built by Ralph Schürmann (German Track Architect & Builder) using Siberian timber. At it's steepest gradient, the track is angled at 43.9 degrees and the design of the track is considered to be wide with smooth transitions through the bends.

Purposely built for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, the Velodrome will house the Track Cycling in Brisbane from the 5th - 8th of April, 2018.

The facility, owned and managed by Stadiums Queensland houses Cycling Queensland, the State Association for organised Cycling.
