Alcheringa Alpine Retreat Bed & Breakfast

Alcheringa Alpine Retreat is a quality B & B rated as 5 star accommodation with 21 5 star reviews by our past guests...that has two queen size beds/bedrooms with one large shared ensuite bathroom. We are able to take 2 couples who are friends..OR a mum/dad with one or two small children. The B & B contains 2 separate bedrooms, the ensuite bathroom, a large and comfortable lounge/dining room with a big TV, Foxtel, games, piles of DVDs and a lovely warm wood burning heater. We have double glazing throughout to keep the house at a constant temperature even when it is snowing outside in the heart of winter. We are situated 27 kilometres out of Jindabyne ... up and into the pasturelands and bush of Ingebirah. And we are at 1300 metres altitude...above the snow line. This is a quiet place with a multitude of wildlife, including wallabies, kangaroos, deer, wombats, echidnas and an array of birdlife. Our super-friendly dog, Molly, a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, only chases away the odd fox. Molly takes care of our chooks and a couple of Alpine Hare families on the property and, of course, you! It is a lovely place to bring small children who may have not have experienced or seen snow before. We even have a toboggan for them to slide down a gentle slope when there is enough snow on the ground. We cook a marvellous wholesome breakfast to set you up for your day's skiing or snowboarding before you take off to the snow fields of Thredbo or Perisher...around 40 to 45 minutes easy drive from us on bitumen the entire way. Your view from the front of Alcheringa is to die for. It is north facing and expansive. You can see the Main Range, Mount Perisher (who let off fireworks every Tuesday night in winter) and, further to the west, Thredbo Top and the mountains towards Mount Kosciuszko. Prices for the seasons are different and we give discounts if you would like to stay longer than 2 nights. Also, once you have stayed with us, you will have a 10% discount on your next stay...at any time of the year. School holidays also fill up fast.
